I have been thinking a lot about this. That it really doesn’t matter what other people see when they look at you. Why did I come to this conclusion. Well when people look at me in person they think that well I am an attractive women. Not that I am full of myself because trust me that is the last thing that I am. But this is what I mean.
Almost sure that I am not the only one who feels this way. People look at you and they find an attraction towards you. Not just if you are pretty but I mean physically or maybe you just let out that sex appeal that comes natural to some. But when you have had weight issue all of your life. When you are always constantly torturing yourself over your weight it is hard to think of yourself as being attractive, pretty or beautiful. Confidence is not in our vocabulary.
Unfortunately when you put yourself threw so much it really does not matter what others see in you. If you don’t see it in yourself then what is next. How can you ever be helped how can you ever get over this weight issue that has been on your back like a heavy shadow constantly hovering over you.
This is when patience has to kick in on behalf of your family and friends. You see it’s not that we are always fishing for a compliment because that is the last thing that we want or believe. Unfortunately with someone suffering over weight problems what you see is not what you get. We do want to get helped we just don’t know where to start or how to start.
Patience is a virtue that we don’t all possess so for those that do have it thank you!

So I know I have been out of the loop for a while but I have been wanting to write about Captin Carlos. Does anyone know who he is? Well let me tell you this little cartoon character is an inspiration to our children. This little character is teaching our children about choosing healthy foods on a daily basis.
I think this is great. Not only do we as parents find it a bit difficult to do this but when we have a Disney character such as this it is a great help to us. So I want to thank Disney for this one. Finally someone is getting it right. What do we all think about this. I would like for those of you who know what I am talking about to please comment on Captain Carlos.

Thank you again Disney. You are truly helping a lot of parents out here who are struggling to convince our children that healthy eating and living is the best way to go. It is the best way to live our life’s and make us feel great!

We were all made of different shapes and sizes. No matter how much we go through mentally and physically to get our bodies to look a certain way. Neither dieting and strenuous work out will get you the hour glass figure if you were not born with it. It will be completely impossible to get your body to look that way. Not to burst your bubble. Unless surgery is some how involved.
So why is it that when ever we are shown a picture of the perfect body, it is always an hour glass figure for a women and an upside down triangle for the man. This problem isn’t something that women go through alone. Now a days it is effecting the male population as well. Not that it is anything new but it keeps getting worse.

We should start to instill in our children early on in there childhood to love there body for what it is. To feel special and wonderful that the body they have was made especially for them. We as parents and as people they look up to, should do the same. Instead of wanting what we can’t have we should love ourselves for what we do have and who we are. Let’s not let the media dictate how we should feel and how we should look.
This can be really hard to do as we are human and things in life effect us in so many ways. But we have to be strong for our children. We can only teach to love if we truly love ourselves.

We all have been bombarded with diet pills here and there. With diet tea’s and magic drinks. But what I would really like to know is do they really work? Is there anybody out there that has had some success by using any products such as the one’s advertise?
The only reason why I ask is because I would like to know who is out there promoting healthy living. Simple as that just plain old everyday healthy living. No pills and no dieting. No touch ups here and there just all natural healthy living.
I know there is but why is it that we rather believe that there is a easier and faster way to a better ourselves? Why have we become so lazy that we rather take a pill, drink a shake or some type of a serum to lose the weight? Why is it easier for us to believe that by breathing differently we can accomplish to work out all our muscles instead of really getting out there and giving our bodies that well deserved workout?

Were are we going with all of this is anyone else worried. I know that there are the few of us that still like to feel our bodies sore to know that we are alive. Or to eat that apple and enjoy the sweet taste of something natural and good for us. But some is not enough. We need to start setting some examples for those around us that need that motivation to change there ways of life.
Me for instance there are times that I fall into a rut. But I have to kick my butt out of it. It is hard to come across anyone that is willing to do that for us. But let us all come together to support one another. If you know of anyone that has fallen into a rut. Do your good Samaritan duty and kick there behind out it!

Okay this is what I want to know! Where are all the healthy women at? We are bombarded with pictures of really skinny women. Showing us that, that is the way to be. But is that really true for everyone. Come on can it be true? I for one am tired of seeing really skinny women out there being pushed down my throat saying that this is they way all women should look like. I mean no offense but for those of you that are “naturally skinny/thin” good for you. But that is not the only way to be. Also I am so tired of really overweight people being thrown at my face saying that if you are not thin then you probably look fat. I mean common on people.
So I say where are all the beautiful healthy sexy looking women. Why are they not showing pictures of those women that are healthy and have healthy looking bodies. Not fat nor skinny! But healthy women. Why are they not the ones being posted on every on every ad or shown on every video and commercial. Why are our kids being brain washed that if you are not skinny as, well how can I put this as “hell”! Then you must be fat as “hell”!

Besides trying to be as healthy as I can be to be some what of a role model for my daughter when she gets old enough to understand. Where are the roll models for all the teens, young adults and us the older adults.
Who is with me on this who else is tired of either being thrown the too skinny or the too fat images. I know that there are healthy women and men out there that are living happy successful sexy lives. Those are the ones that we should aspire to. To live happy healthy life’s.
Lets try to start showing how we really truly should be. Instead of admiring those that are at the extreme lets give props to those that are healthy and loving it. So if you know of anyone like this or this describes you. Good for you! Be a role model for someone else. Show them that being healthy is what it is all about!

There is this girl I know who is heavy set she is young beautiful, just entered collage and has a great future ahead of her. She should be nothing but exited. So I would think. Usually she is full of excitement when she is just getting back from school with her arms full of materials for her next homework assignment. The day passes everything is fine and then there is dinner time.
The dreaded dinner time. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t like it always sucks. But then there are those days that do. We are all at the dinner table eating chatting the meal is delicious and people are getting up for seconds. Then the girl decides that she too wants a second serving she gets up and there is a comment thrown at her. The (do you really think you need seconds) comment. The (maybe you should just drink water) comment or the (don’t you think you have had enough) comment. These comments upset her, you can see the hurt in her eyes so she decides not to get the second helping of food. Instead she excuses herself from the table. Goes into her room and shuts the door.
My thing is, is it really her fault? Personally I say no. Look I have a daughter too she is only 20 months old and I already struggle with her when it comes to food. Getting her to eat and whether she likes it enough. Then I ask did I give her enough, did I give her too much. Was the food healthy enough did she get enough veggies or enough water or milk etc. Then when I give her a treat its like should I have done that am I giving her a bad example. Or when I am eating something she can’t have like something spicy she doesn’t understand unless I let her taste it. Should I have done that? Or when I am eating a sweet and I don’t want to give her any because she already had too much. I’m sure she thinks why can you and why can’t I? When I am on the computer or watching television. Should I be outside playing with her or at least play with her indoors?
This is were I am going with all this. Who are we as parents that it gives us the right to insult or hurt our children when they are older in reference to what they eat or what they look like. Why didn’t we lead by example when we had the chance? Why didn’t we give them that tool early on in there childhood? Why didn’t we show them that going out, playing outside, drinking water and eating veggies was an every day part of life. Not a once in a while thing. Maybe today but not tomorrow.
Now you know what I mean and okay so we didn’t do our best when they were younger and mold able. But it is never to late. We can still help them change, again how? Leading by example. If you don’t want them to be unhealthy and over weight then do something. Don’t stock up the kitchen with snacks, ready to eat meals in 5 minutes, ice cream that is easily accessible. Don’t stock up in juices, sodas and punch. Get rid of it. Can we really be willing to give all that up for the sake of our kids? Come on people get a clue. If you are so concern for your children. Then lead by example you too stop at the first serving and skip the seconds!
